The Origin Bank RiverMarket will hold its annual Blues, Brews & BBQ on October 10, 2020, from 10am-4pm. Musical lineup: Charlie Wood and His Smokin’ Section Band, Hall of Fame Blues Artist Bill “Howl N Madd” Perry, and Blues Hall of Fame Artist Jerry McCoy. Activities include beer sampling with Choice Brands, fabulous BBQ Food Trucks, Kids Zone, shopping with boutiques, artisans, and direct sales.
We are rolling out our 5th year of Rita’s on the River on October 24, 2020, from 10am-4pm. This year will be held at the Monroe Civic Center Arena. Admission is free and we will have a wide range of vendors set up selling their fabulous finds. Boutiques will be there with all the new Fall trends, perfect for back to school shopping. On November 7th, 2020, we are combining Louisiana Food and Music with Love Your Community Day and adding Bacardi Bar Keep Battle to the Craft Beverage Walk. This is going to be jammed packed day full of music, our very 1st Little Miss and Mister Monroe Pageant, a spotlight on all our area nonprofits, Louisiana cuisine with Food Trucks, shopping with Louisiana made products, artisans, and local boutiques. We’ll have games and fun activities for the whole family. For the adults, the Bacardi Bar Keep Battle is a competition between area bartenders to see who can create the best mixed drink using Bacardi. So grab your ticket, try them all, and vote for your favorite! In addition to Bar Keep, ticket holders can also sample spirits, wines, and home brew from around the state. Get your tickets here!
Food, Fun, and Fabulous Shopping!! We are kicking off the Holiday Season with an upscale Christmas Market at the Monroe Civic Center Banquet Hall on November 21, 2020, 10am-4pm. $5 admission that gets you in the drawing for fabulous door prizes from our downtown and area businesses. Vendors from all over the ArkLaTex will be on hand with Christmas and home decor, greenery, boutique shopping, beautiful handmade art and jewelry, delicious desserts/pastries, coffee and hot cocoa, a full bar, and specialty foods from the Holly Jolly Corner. No strollers please.

Christmas in the Twin Cities is full of activities and fun for the whole family. We have planned a fantastic day of activities including a Christmas Story with hot cocoa and cookies, great food, shopping with area vendors, Little Miss Christmas in DōMo Pageant, and our very own Christmas Parade you can catch right from the RiverMarket! The fun starts at 10am, so bring the kids out and spend the day with us Downtown.
Don’t miss the Warhawk Harley Davidson Christmas in DōMo Parade on December 12! It will go through the heart of Downtown Monroe and end at the RiverMarket. Spend your day with us at the Market for all the fun activities and catch our parade at 10:30am. It’s going to be a wide mix of Christmas themes with parade entries from motorcyles, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, walking and dancing groups, music, floats, probably a boat, and Santa on a Harley! Mardi Gras Madness will be back at the Origin Bank RiverMarket on January 30, 2021! We’ll have our Kid’s Parade with some amazing small size floats, our Little Miss Mardi Gras Pageant, a DJ keeping the music going all day, a kids zone, bar specials all day, the best food trucks and vendors from around the ArkLaMiss. Make sure you stick around for the Krewe de Riviere Parade rolling right in front of the RiverMarket that night. This is the best place to watch the parade in town! We’ll be well lit, have restrooms, plus great food from our food trucks.
Peace, Love, and Paws in 2021! The NBC 10/Fox 14 presents Woofstock will be back on March 6th, with the largest one day pet festival in North Louisiana. Groove your way downtown and join us for a fabulous day full of fun activities for designed just for your family pet. We’ll have the coolest pet costume contest with great prizes, little doggie races that are so much fun to watch, and much more!
